  HIV/AIDS AWARENESS RAISING CAMPAIGN
 
Awareness raising among youths and young women in the migration zone and prevention among border based mobile population.

Training of local volunteers as a peer health educator to work in rural areas tackling the spread of HIV/AIDS, providing counselling to children in need and sharing information on disease prevention.

As a result of support from Sachabu Care Foundation, volunteers are already working in many primary schools in Akatsi district of Volta Ghana.
Community members have been grateful for the support they and their children have received.

  DONATION TO ORPHANS  
   
Sachabu Care Foundation, has presented a quantity of children’s toys to Orphanages in the Volta Region. They are different types of playing kits such as see-saw, merry -go- round, skipping ropes, musical instruments, wall pictures and balls. Presenting the items to the District Chief Executive and the District Education Director.

  FIGHTING POVERTY TOGETHER  
   

These areas are among the poorest in the region, lacking access to basic necessities including Safer Water and Health Care. In addition, the educational infrastructure in Akatsi-Akuave.
We are seeking for a general support from organizations and individuals to help fight the poverty in this community.

  Women`s Empowerment Project  
   
We are currently training rural woman groups to set up a work in their community, generating employment for themselves and their peers.
The women's empowerment scheme seeks to teach mothers and widows practical skills, so that they can support their family and keep their family in school. The women are taught to make local products and sell for profit.

To complete and furnish this uncompleted school building to ensure children are save in the classroom during bad weather.

Heavy rains in this area often prevent children from attending school - the school structures are often merely a thatched roof on poles. We anticipate that a robust school pavilion will provide education for up to 350 children.

Sexual Health Campaign
 
   
One of our recent projects was an information Campaign to raise awareness amongst young people about how to protect themselves from Sexual Transmitted Diseases STD's and HIV infection.
We distributed over 5,000 Condoms and Flyers to young people in the region as part of our Sexual health Campaign. And radio adverts on Local and National FM stations reminded listeners to use condoms to protect themselves from HIV prevention is essential, and for that people need information.

  Nation wide advocacy, care and support service for people living with HIV/AIDS
    Nation wide Care and Support service to assist people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS with nutration and food supplement and also to help prevent people from becoming infected in the first place.
  Sexual and Reproductive Health
   

To improve the sexual and reproductivehealth status of adolescents and youths through supporting and strengthening youth self-help initiatives and related activities, by providing sexual and reproductive health information, education and services.
These services will allow women and girls in the community to excercise their basic human rights. These rights include access to sexual and reproductive health care.

  Information and Communication Technology Centre  
    Sachabu Care Foundation is to establish a $55,000 Information and Communication Technology Centre in Volta Region, this program will be establish to provide free computer training for youths and adults in the community and also to link the region to the global technology. So far only Ho and Aflao have ICT facilities in the region.
